Clarifile Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Clarifile. By using Clarifile, you agree to these terms.

Service

Clarifile provides document scanning, OCR, translation, cloud backup for premium users, PDF export, and optional AI-generated plain-language interpretation.

AI interpretation and translations are informational assistance only. They are not legal, immigration, medical, financial, tax, or professional advice. You should verify important documents and decisions with a qualified professional or official source.

Your Documents

You are responsible for the documents you scan, import, upload, translate, or interpret. Only use Clarifile with documents you have the right to process. Do not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes another person's rights.

Accounts

You may need an account to use cloud features, subscriptions, and account-linked services. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure.

Plans and Subscriptions

The free plan supports scanning/import, OCR and translation processing, and device-only document storage. Premium features may include cloud backup and sync, AI interpretation, PDF export, and higher usage limits.

Subscription pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are managed by the platform where you subscribed, such as Apple App Store or Google Play. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Clarifile, attempt to bypass access controls or quotas, interfere with the service, reverse engineer the app except where legally permitted, or use the service for unlawful activity.

Availability

OCR, translation, AI interpretation, purchases, and cloud backup require network access and may be unavailable during outages, maintenance, provider failures, or quota limits.

Account Deletion

You can delete your Clarifile account from Settings in the app. Deleting your account removes Clarifile cloud data and local cached Clarifile documents, then signs you out. Subscription cancellation must be handled separately through the platform where you subscribed.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Clarifile after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Prague, Czech Republic.
